Watercolors
I began watercoloring my senior year of college, taking a course to help with the stress of my senior capstone. I quickly found joy (and definitely frustrations in the beginning!) in painting, and appreciated the patience that this particular medium requires. Since the days of capstone renders, I use watercolors as a relaxant in these turbulent times and to forever memorialize some of my favorite places and memories. Putting them down in paint allows me to think back on where I was or why this particular building or sign caught my eye. In addition to doing them for my own joy, I have also been commissioned by companies to paint watercolor renders for proposals and projects, and my commission book remains open for such endeavors!
